Just for fun, wondering how many folks show their falabellas?
In local shows? In sanctioned shows?
And how they place?
We show mostly at local fall fairs, but have shown in AMHR sanctioned shows in Canada, and were pleased that our home born/bred Falabellas placed well. Grand Champion Mare and Grand Champion Gelding divisions.
Please share your experiences. Remember this is just for fun.

El Rey of course, is an AMHA National Top Ten stallion, from his early days. So, I guess we can say he placed well.
I haven't had a pure Falabella to show until this year, and I'm hoping my trainer will take Celena, my sorrel leopard filly to show this season. I'm waiting for her to come "see the kids" and make her decisions on who goes.
This year I'm expecting my 1st Castle Rock pure Falabella foal, and with any luck it will be early enough to at least go to baby classes. The foal is out of Angelica's stallion Kino (a leopard stallion), and Blessie, a black appy mare who looks like she's flaking.
Most of my remaining herd is Falabella Blends, (almost all my standing stallions are at least Blends) and I have had great success in showing my Falabella Blend boys--with National AMHR Top Ten (3rd place) in Multicolor Stallion, over; multiple Grand Champion AMHR Yearling Stallion, over, etc. |

I only show at the local fairs. All the Reconized shows are too far for us to travel and be away from the farm.Wish I could. Because I would love to watch and learn to show more. Here I have to show against the work horses and the riding horses. I showed last 2 summers. S Starr Seven Bistro De Falabella .And he did okey againt big horse halters.I was very pleased and plan to take him out in 2008 again.I also showed Jac's Basar en Roca and her foal Magic against the work horses. And she was tropper and we had so much fun in halter and driving. And going into the costume class which we got first. Here is a,pic of us HEY ,Don`t ya think they make a nice team one day? |

Don't forget to send me all your FMHA pedigrees for our History book, AND any pictures you have of your FMHA registered horses. Don't forget, we are trying to compile a complete FMHA history book for FBOS. Please either send email or fax your FMHA pedigrees for all the horses you have, or have had, to dcwolcott@tnni.net, or fax to 863-494-7128.
thanks, as we're trying to put together a complete FMHA history book!!! |
